Student groups are an important part of the life of our community. Groups are formed by students in response to a need or an interest. Most groups find budgetary and institutional support by becoming recognized by ASUM (Associated Students of the University of Montana).

  • The first step to forming a group is to talk with your classmates and peers about a topic that interests you.
  • The second step is to find a faculty advisor who will support your group.
  • The third step is to complete and submit the ASUM group recognition forms.  Once completed and recognized, you can begin to hold meetings and request money from ASUM for your budget.
